Official Eligibility Details for Nursing Admissions in Odisha

Government Instruction

Note: All the information provided is in accordance with current Government rules and regulations. These are subject to revision from time to time as per official updates.

Basic B.Sc. Nursing

  1. Candidates must be minimum 17 years of age as on 31.12.2025.
  2. Must have passed 10+2 Examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
  3. National Institute of Open School candidates are also eligible.
  4. Minimum 45% marks in PCB. SC/ST candidates require 40%.
  5. English is compulsory in 10+2.
  6. Must have passed M.E Standard Odia.
  7. Must be Domicile/Permanent Resident of Odisha .
  8. Both Male & Female candidates are eligible.
  9. Candidates must be medically fit.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

  1. Candidate must be a domicile/permanent resident of Odisha.
  2. Must be a Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife .
  3. Must have passed GNM Examination .
  4. Reciprocal ONMRC registration required for other state candidates.
  5. Candidates must be medically fit.
  6. In-service candidates must submit NOC.
  7. Must have passed M.E Standard Odia.
  8. Both Male & Female candidates are eligible.

M.Sc. Nursing

  1. Candidate must be a domicile/permanent resident of Odisha.
  2. Must be Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife.
  3. Must have B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum 55% marks.
  4. SC/ST candidates require minimum 50%.
  5. Must have minimum 1 year work experience.
  6. Experience can be teaching or clinical.
  7. Candidates must be medically fit.
  8. Must have passed M.E Standard Odia.
  9. Both Male & Female candidates are eligible.
  10. In-service candidates must submit NOC.

Post Basic Diploma Nursing

  1. Candidate must be a domicile/permanent resident of Odisha.
  2. Must be Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife.
  3. Must have passed GNM / Basic or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing .
  4. Reciprocal ONMRC registration required for other state candidates.
  5. Must have 1 year clinical experience .
  6. Candidates must be medically fit.
  7. In-service candidates must submit NOC.
  8. Must have passed M.E Standard Odia.
  9. Both Male & Female candidates are eligible.
